What is MemoryBox?

MemoryBox provides a safe and private space for individuals to create personal videos, write messages, and share meaningful content with their loved ones. This exclusive, invite-only platform is specially designed for those in their final stages of life, helping them leave behind a lasting legacy of memories.

Even after someone has passed, users can continue to add content and media, maintaining the flow of stories and memories. This ongoing sharing helps keep the essence of relationships alive, bridging time and ensuring that legacies live on.

MemoryBox operates on a dual-faceted system:

  1. Preparation for Passing: Users facing end-of-life can create a personalized wall akin to Pinterest for reflecting on their life stories and communicate through direct messages. They can invite an unlimited number of people to access their MemoryBox posthumously. Each invitee receives a unique code to join the platform after the user’s passing. An appointed account executor will then activate the MemoryBox, allowing invitees to view the content and contribute their own remembrances, offering comfort and connectivity during mourning.

  2. Posthumous Tribute: If an individual has not created a MemoryBox before their passing, family and friends can establish one on their behalf. They can then invite others to celebrate the departed’s life by contributing memories and media content, creating a shared space for honoring and remembering.

MemoryBox is crafted for individuals planning for end-of-life and their cherished circle of family and friends.

Our secure, exclusive-access platform is thoughtfully designed to enhance dialogue and preserve memories, ensuring that the legacy and spirit of departed loved ones continue to inspire and resonate through time.

Meet Shahla.

Hi. I'm Shahla, the founder and creator of MemoryBox. This whole journey kicked off in a bittersweet moment—saying goodbye to my dad on Father's Day in 2022.

Right before we had to let go, our house turned into this incredible gathering spot. Friends and family poured in from all corners, each person bringing a story, a laugh, or a tear that painted a whole new picture of my dad. It felt like I was getting to know him all over again, through their eyes.

Then, in one of those heavy-hearted chats, my grief counselor threw a curveball at me—how do you keep talking to someone who's no longer here? That question planted the seed for MemoryBox.

My biggest hope? That MemoryBox becomes a cozy, comforting spot for anyone grappling with loss or staring down their final days. It's about keeping the conversation going. Just because our loved ones aren't in the room, doesn't mean their stories and impact have to fade away.

I'm so excited to roll out the beta version soon and I'm all ears for any feedback you've got. How can MemoryBox help you keep those memories alive, build a lasting legacy, and create a community vibe around remembering those we've lost? Can't wait to hear your thoughts.
